Mark Pratico, 63, of Hamilton Township, NJ, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at CareOne Assisted Living, East Brunswick, NJ.

Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a lifelong Trenton/Hamilton resident.

Mark was the owner/operator of Mark Pratico Jewelers, Hamilton Township, from 1979 to 2000, and formerly having locations in Atlantic City and Lawrenceville, NJ. He was also the owner of Captain Video and Scara’s Italian Ice, both of Hamilton Township, NJ.

He coached youth soccer and basketball at the Hamilton YMCA, CYO, Trenton PAL, and Hamilton Soccer Club for more than 15 years, was an avid memorabilia collector, and enjoyed his travel to Disney World and Hilton Head, SC.

Mark was a 1976 graduate of McCorristin High School, Gemological Institute of America, and was a Certified Jewelry Appraiser.

Predeceased by his parents, Felix and Rose Mancuso Pratico, his son, Nicholas Pratico, father-in-law, Nicholas Solimando, sisters, Carmella Pratico, Loretta Chester, Ramona Kinnevy, brothers-in-law, Fran Chester, Dennis Williams, and Chris Kozicz, he is survived by his wife, Maria A. Solimando, his son, Mark Pratico, II, his daughter, Marysa Pratico, his sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Dennis Morris, Theresa Williams, Anna Marie and Gary Radice, Franny Kozicz, and Tommy Kinnevy, his brother and sister-in-law, Phil and Susan Pratico, his mother-in-law, Carmela Solimando, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Nicholas and Deborah Solimando, his best friends, Duilio and Bobbie Panfili, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 20, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 626 South Olden Avenue, Hamilton, NJ 08610.

The family will receive family and friends on Monday, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church. The family would appreciate attendees wear face masks.

There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Mark’s name to Joey’s Little Angels, 223 Sharps Lane, Hamilton, NJ, or the Sunshine Foundation, Mercer County Chapter, PO Box 55130, Trenton, NJ 08638.
