Michael M. Serediuk obituary, Hamilton, NJ

HAMILTON Michael M. Serediuk, 65, of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022. Born in Trenton, Michael was a resident of both Trenton and Hamilton throughout his life. He was a graduate of St. Anthony's High School, Class of 1975 and later Trenton State College where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Arts Education. Following graduation, Michael was employed with Princeton Plasma-Physics for approximately 10 years before joining the State of New Jersey, Department of Transportation where he served as a Right of Way Negotiator for the past 35 years. During the winter months, Michael loved helping his coworkers at the department with snowplowing of the roads, so all were kept safe. Michael was born to Ukrainian immigrants who came to the United States as refugees during World War II and was raised in St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church. He was always extremely proud of his heritage and was also a very patriotic man who honored and respected the American flag and what it stood for in our country. Later in life, he became a member of St. Raphael's RC Church in Hamilton where his children were raised and received their sacraments. For many years, Michael enjoyed coaching soccer and supporting his girls in all of their activities. He also enjoyed being in the bleachers supporting his son-in-law as he watched him coach the Hamilton West Football team over the years. Michael loved to fish and was an avid and gifted gardener who always had a beautiful variety of flowers and plants in his yard. You could often find him at local flea markets searching for his next treasure. He was known to always be willing to help his family, friends and neighbors with a home improvement project at any time. Michael was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and one of his fondest memories was the day he attended the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl parade in Philadelphia. It was a dream come true for him and he enjoyed every moment! Most of all, Michael was a devoted family man who was always there to protect, support, and care for his family. He adored his beloved wife, Paula, loving daughters and beautiful grandchildren, and cherished every moment he spent with them. Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Luba (Zajac) Serediuk and his beloved sister, lryna Rottkamp; he is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Paula; his daughters and sons-in-law, Kristina M. and Michael V. Papero and Morgan A. and Richard D. Berardi; his three cherished grandchildren, Madison, Sophia and Joseph; his sister and brother-in-law, Olga and George Dytyniak; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Angela and Tim Fitzpatrick, Lorraine McNichol and Tom and Mare Boyd; his nieces and nephews and their spouses, especially Timothy and Jill Fitzpatrick, Kevin and Alyssa Fitzpatrick; Alexis and Daniel Mazur, Andrew and Leslie Dytyniak, Adrienne McNichol and Leigh and Thomas Boyd; and many other loving family members, and dear lifelong friends. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 25, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael's RC Church, 3500 Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ. Private cremation will follow the Mass.
