Mary Elizabeth (Rogers) Miller

Mary Elizabeth Miller, 59, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 22., 2017. Born in Trenton, she has lived in Yardley, PA since 1990.

Mary was a teacher for the W. Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District, and taught in the John V. B. Wicoff Elementary School for 25 years. She is a former district Teacher of the Year, co-lead of the Math-Science Day presentation for 15 years, as well as the district science coordinator, where she met Bill Nye the Science Guy and NJ Congressman Rush Holt, who said of the science program, "this is how science should be taught." Mary touched the lives of more than 400 students, most of whom went on to college careers at prestigious schools.

A Cub Scout den mother, she enjoyed skiing and yoga, spending time with her family and friends, and walking Lady, her Golden Retriever.

Daughter of the late Bernard and Margie Mae Blake Rogers, she is survived by her husband of 36 years, Martin Miller; 3 sons, Jason of Hershey, PA, Jon and his wife Katelynn of Pottsville, PA, and Jeffrey and his wife Jessica of Weehawken, NJ; sister-in-law, Connie O'Dwyer and her husband Michael; 2 brothers-in-law, William Miller and his wife Martha, and Gregory Miller; a nephew, Justin Miller and his wife Annemarie; lifelong friends, Cindy and Mark Beers, and Carol and Howard Wedekind.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 25, from 6:00-9:00 PM, and Wednesday morning from 8:00-9:00 AM at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony's Church, 626 So. Olden Ave. at 9:30 AM, followed by entombment in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , or the Alzheimers Association
