Michael Lucash - Class Of 1973

MICHAEL LUCASH, Sr.

Michael Lucash Sr., 60, of Hamilton passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, with his loving family by his side. Michael was born in Trenton, grew up in Robbinsville, and resided in Hamilton since 1977.

Michael graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1973 and attended Mercer County Community College. Michael began his lifelong career at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection in 1975, working for the Honorable Commissioner David J. Bardin. He held various facilities management positions over his 40 years of dedicated service, most recently serving as manager, general and support services.

Michael was an avid golfer and loved traveling to various golf courses across the country, especially Hilton Head and Disney. Golfing at Mercer Oaks in West Windsor with his good friends was a regular thing.

Michael was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Andrew and Mary Hanuschik; his paternal grandparents, Michael and Anna Lucash, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, William and Marian Tafs. Michael is survived by his wife, Debby, and his son, Michael Jr. He is also survived by his parents, John and Marge Lucash of Fayettville, PA; his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Robyn Lucash of Hamilton Square, NJ; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill and Linda Tafs of Issaquah, WA, and Joe and Mary Tafs of Bloomington, MN; two aunts, Ann Pirerra of Groveville, NJ, and Mary May of Fort Lauderdale, FL; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Raphael-Holy Angels Parish, located at 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery on Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ. Friends and relatives may visit with the family on Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, located at 2946 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610 with Parastas being celebrated at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutch Funeral Home, Inc., Trenton, NJ.

Memorial contributions in Michael's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society , 2600 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
