Barry J. Kelly - Class Of 1974 VIEW PROFILE

Barry Joseph Kelly MOHNTON, PA Barry Joseph Kelly, who was born on Dec. 28, 1956, in Trenton, NJ, and raised in Yardville, NJ, was called to God on Oct. 13, 2015, after a valiant three year battle with cancer. Predeceased by his loving parents, Kate and Pat Kelly, Barry was married to Patti (Dalton) Kelly, the love of his life for 28 years. He is survived by his loving son, Patrick, who is an Army Specialist Arms Bearer, and his lovely daughter, Shannon, who is a junior at Duquesne University. Barry was extremely proud of his children and awaits the great, kind and generous achievements of their lives. Barry was very close to his cousin Joe Montesano, who was like a brother to him, as well as Joe's wife, Cookie Weekes, and their son and Barry's godson, Gregory Montesano. Barry's Aunt Angie Montesano was like a second mother to him. Barry enjoyed a special relationship with his mother and father- in-law, Jack and Trudy Dalton. He also was close with his sisters and brothers-in-law, Meg and Mark, John and Kathy, Beth and Paul, Michelle and Jeff, Mark and Kathy, Maureen and Steve and Katie. Barry was a special uncle to his many nieces and nephews. As an only child, his many close friends were like family to him. He fostered lifelong bonds with many who will miss him dearly. Barry was employed by Wells Fargo and its predecessors for over 30 years, primarily as a financial advisor. Although he had true passion and enjoyed the challenge of the position, his true love was for his co-workers and clients. Barry made a difference as a Big Brother and felt rewarded by this experience. He had great faith in the goodness of God and was a member of the Catholic Church for his entire life. Barry enjoyed Philadelphia and New York sports, especially the Eagles and the Mets. He and Patti enjoyed many trips to Longboat Key, FL, where they found their own paradise, even in the past years of Barry's sickness. All those who knew Barry will miss his generous spirit, sense of humor and genuine compassion for others. The family would like to offer special thanks to his dedicated caregivers at Penn State Health - St. Joseph, Jefferson Neuroscience, and Fox Chase Cancer Research. Viewing from Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. will be held on Friday, Oct. 16 from 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, 2810 St. Albans Drive, Whitfield, PA, on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Monsignor James Andrew Treston will celebrate mass. Interment will be private, at the convenience of the family.
